I am the commissioned editor for a new major edited collection on the philosophy of Jean Baudrillard:

I am currently considering what topics to include in the book, and who might be the best contributors, so please contact me in April if you wish to be considered as a contributing author. The book will contain c.20 chapters and each chapter must be 8000 words (maximum) [7000 words minimum].

The guiding theme for much of the book’s content will be about the relevance (or not, perhaps we have ‘lost confidence’ in Baudrillard now?) of Baudrillard’s philosophy in the 21st Century. However, I do not intend for this theme to exclude other great ideas and suggested contributions. This is also not a ‘friends of Baudrillard’ collection; its purpose is to engage thoughtfully and critically with Baudrillard’s philosophy, oeuvre, and legacy.

The book will only be published in English.

Je réfléchis actuellement aux thèmes à aborder et aux auteurs les plus pertinents. Si vous souhaitez y contribuer, merci de me contacter en avril. L’ouvrage comportera une vingtaine de chapitres, chacun d’une longueur maximale de 8 000 mots (7 000 mots minimum).

Le fil conducteur de l’ouvrage portera sur la pertinence (ou non, peut-être avons-nous « perdu confiance » en Baudrillard aujourd’hui ?) de sa philosophie au XXIe siècle. Toutefois, ce thème n’exclut pas d’autres idées majeures ni d’autres contributions. Il ne s’agit pas d’un recueil destiné aux « amis de Baudrillard » ; son objectif est d’aborder de manière approfondie et critique la philosophie, l’œuvre et l’héritage de Baudrillard.

L’ouvrage sera publié uniquement en anglais.
